Practical Prose

Dominique spent nine years covering the southeast Oakland County (Michigan) business community as a freelance reporter for the Mirror newspapers. Her feature stories on business and regional travel topics have also appeared in Hour Detroit Magazine, Entrepreneur's Start Ups and The Long Trip Home.

Her experience includes writing and editing local Chamber of Commerce newsletters, providing promotional copy for city guides and event booklets, proofreading and writing advertorials, press releases, letters, Web copy and other material for private clients.

Dominique graduated from Wayne State University (Detroit) with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and a master's degree in Communications, Public Relations and Organizational Communication before establishing Practical Prose, a freelance writing and editing business, in 1998.
